Accelerator4Crafts
A new digital hub for European craft knowledge exchange, skills development, and collaboration

Accelerator4Crafts

The Accelerator4Crafts, a new digital platform dedicated to European crafts, officially launched! Developed within the Tracks4Crafts project, the platform is designed to strengthen the transmission of craft knowledge, foster collaboration, and stimulate innovation across Europe’s diverse crafts sector.

Conceived as a “meeting place and platform for craftspeople”, the Accelerator4Crafts raises awareness of the crafts sector in Europe while highlighting ongoing developments, initiatives, and opportunities. By combining digital tools with community-driven methodologies, the platform enables craftspeople and craft enthusiasts, educators, researchers, designers, and cultural practitioners to learn, exchange, and connect in an accessible and dynamic online environment.

The platform is structured around three main sections:

Explore

Users can begin their journey with a self-diagnosis tool, a structured, multi-step questionnaire that helps them assess their skills, needs, and interests. Based on this input, the platform guides users toward tailored learning resources aligned with their individual profiles. The Explore section also hosts curated resources such as reports, thematic cards, tutorials, and video content focused on craft knowledge transmission, legal frameworks, and policy recommendations. Over time, the platform will be enriched with additional learning materials and T4C project outputs.

Exchange

The Exchange section supports direct collaboration and peer learning. Registered users can share practices, co-create projects, and exchange experiences across borders and disciplines. These interactions encourage new perspectives, foster innovation, and help build long-lasting international networks within the European crafts community.

Connect

The Connect section is a community space for networking, discussion, and knowledge exchange. Open to all registered users and free of charge, it allows craftspeople from different disciplines and countries to meet, share inspiration, and stay connected to what is happening in the sector.

Residency Programme

A key component of the Exchange part is the Accelerator4Crafts Residency Programme. This programme combines digital engagement with physical peer-learning residencies funded through the T4C project, offering craftspeople opportunities to collaborate and experiment in real-world settings. Residencies will take place in pilot locations across Iceland, Greece, the Netherlands, Romania, Italy, Switzerland, and Belgium, hosted by organisations leading pilot T4C projects.
