Sharing Bokrijk Pilot Insights

Tracks4Crafts recently participated in the SIEF 2025 conference in Aberdeen, presenting key results from the finalized experimental setup within the Bokrijk pilot case, Working Wicker Digitally. The project explored innovative ways to support craft processes using Augmented Reality (AR), in close collaboration with expert wicker artisans known as the "wicker ladies."

The conference provided a valuable platform for sharing experiences, strengthening professional networks, and reconnecting with the sister project Crafting Futures. Updates exchanged between the two projects opened new avenues for future cooperation.

A highlight of the event was a round table discussion on the future of cultural heritage, examining social, economic, political, and technological perspectives. The session featured special guest Tim Ingold, renowned anthropologist, who offered thought-provoking insights into the evolving landscape of heritage practices.
