Tracks4Crafts at the HEPHAESTUS Symposium
Advancing Policy for Craft Tourism

From June 9–14, 2025, the island of Bornholm, Denmark, became a meeting point for craft heritage, policy, and tourism during the HEPHAESTUS Symposium. Partners of the CRAFTOUR initiative gathered to collaborate and refine the first draft of their Policy Recommendations - a significant milestone for the project.

The symposium also coincided with the renowned Folkemødet festival, offering CRAFTOUR partners an unique opportunity to present and discuss their work with a broader audience. On June 13, they took part in a panel discussion, marking the first public presentation of insights from the draft policy aimed at shaping the future of craft-based tourism in Europe.

Tracks4Crafts, one of the six projects under the CRAFTOUR umbrella, was proudly represented at the event by project coordinators Bert De Munck and Julie De Groot.

This joint effort reflects the ongoing commitment of CRAFTOUR and Tracks4Crafts to support sustainable cultural tourism and strengthen policy frameworks that empower craft communities across Europe.
